IT Support Technician - Akron

Position Summary: The IT Support Technician delivers both hands-on and remote technical assistance, supports user training, and ensures consistent, high-quality IT service across the organization. Reporting directly to the Manager of Support Services, this role interacts with staff and partners at all levels and provides support to a geographically dispersed team. The technician also contributes to firm-wide IT initiatives and may travel periodically to other Roetzel office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to support requests via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for PCs, mobile devices, telecommunications, and software applications.
- Support Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10/11, and firm-specific applications.
- Troubleshoot and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and provide overflow support for other regions.
- Assist with server and infrastructure management tasks.
- Maintain vendor relationships for printers, copiers, and facility-related equipment.
- Document procedures and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
- Deliver clear, step-by-step instructions to users and technical guidance to regional office managers.
- Support AI-enabled tools and workflows by assisting users with setup, troubleshooting, and best practices for productivity-enhancing AI applications. (Microsoft Co-Pilot)
- Associate's degree in IT or a minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience.
- Strong passion for problem-solving and customer service.
- Proven troubleshooting skills for PCs, printers, copiers, software, and mobile devices (iPhone, Samsung).
- Proficiency in Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with imaging, software installations, and ticketing systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Field technician experience in satellite locations (preferred).
- Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred.
